France has applied the EU 2019/947 regulation since 1 January 2021. All operations fall under the Open, Specific or Certified category, under the supervision of the DGAC (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile). UAS operators register via the AlphaTango portal and the A1/A3 training is mandatory for any drone with a camera or weighing ≥ 250 g.
