Drone Regulation in Ireland — 2026 Guide
Ireland applies EU 2019/947 under the IAA (Irish Aviation Authority). Official UAS zones are published in ED-269 format on iaa.ie. AirNav Ireland manages ATC and NOTAMs. Drone Maps integrates the 84 official ED-269 zones (IFR aerodromes, sensitive military sites, prisons, hospitals, model aircraft clubs, national parks).
Regulatory overview
The IAA publishes a refreshed ED-269 GeoJSON. Most zones are REQ_AUTHORIZATION (controlled airspace EIDW/EICK/EINN/EIKN, sensitive sites) or PROHIBITED. EASA mutual recognition effective with all Member States.
